girl 2: "really?"
girl 1: "yeah, and I already knew she was less than me but that proves it even more. case closed"

doxastically closed

"Doxastically closed" describes a person who is unwilling to change their (false) beliefs regardless of any arguments against it.

The term is used in Street Epistemology and goes back to Peter Boghossian’s "A Manual for Creating Atheists". His definition: “I use the term to mean that either a specific belief one holds, or that one’s entire belief system, is resistant to revision.”

Bob: "1+1=3"
Anthony: "Imagine an empty table. You put one cup on the table. Then you put another cup on the table. How many cups are on the table?"
Bob: "Two."
Anthony: "Putting down one cup and then another cup is '1 cup + 1 cup' and you correctly identified the result as '2 cups'. So you see: 1+1=2"
Bob: "No, 1+1=3"

Charlie (to Dan): "Bob sure is a *very* doxastically closed person."

Athiests who harbor unreasonable resentment towards God. How can they resent something that by definition they don't believe in? Also, put any athiest on their deathbed and they'll be the first to pray for mercy.
