Get the redneck rolexmug. The term redneck originated with farmers in mostly American southern states. Spending a lot of time in the sun turns your neck red from sunburn. But, in the part of the south I live (Tennessee) in the only people that will refer to themselves as rednecks live in a trailer park. To them it signifies being country, down to earth and enjoying simple pleasures. But, you would only call a friend a redneck just like if your not a dark skinned homo-sapien and say nigga to a "black" person you don't know.
Redneck is a derogatory and racist term chiefly but not exclusively applied to white Americans perceived to be crass and unsophisticated, closely associated with rural whites of the Southern United States. Its usage is similar in meaning to cracker, hillbilly, and white trash.

Everything they do is simply a ruse to make others believe they are doing better than what they are.
