They will tell everyone else why they hate you. They will either pretend to like you to your face or not say anything at all. The worst kind of hater.
Anna is such a stealth hater - she won't serve me or talk to me at the coffee shop unless she has to - and puts on the fakest smile and attitude one ever did see.

The phenomenon is well known in Los Angeles because the weather is good. Normally a person would only operate in stealth retirement mode for the first couple of years. As coworkers get curious why you go on such long vacations of weeks at a time. And, neighbors get curious why your lawn is perfectly maintained and green all year round, no weeds.
