The term is closely associated with urban whites of the rust belt states who attempt to act higher in the socio-economic status than they really are.
While Bourgeoisie rednecks are cultural decedents of rednecks of the antebellum south, they have assimilated with black redneck culture - as such they tend to listen to gangsta rap music, wear Nike attire, and use the word 'nigga' in an affectionate manner. They will make extravagant purchases to seem like they made it and may even talk about how they are only a few credits away from graduating from college. Everything they do is simply a ruse to make others believe they are doing better than what they are.
