one beer drowsies

When a person drinks only one or two beers, then stops drinking, the person will inevitably become tired/drowsie. This phrase describes that phenomenon.

Since I've had lunch I've got the one beer drowsies, should have drank three or four, at least then I'd be able to stay awake.

A sentence said when one is acting very immature to the point of extreme annoyance, as in how a young person may act when they have their first alcoholic beverage. Can also be said to somebody who is acting irritatingly foolish when drinking, or to a lightweight at drinking.
