Classy Facebook Vultures will usually make first contact through the private messaging service as to avoid a high creepiness rating from the public while the less skilled will post on your wall. These wall posts usually have a reference to an inside joke from the past.

Get the Facebook Ammomug. Posting a status (or photo, or link, or anything, really) on Facebook with the sole purpose of baiting someone specific into commenting on it. Frequently used to initiate Facebook flirtation. Widely used as a tactic for such, but rarely acknowledged.
