The company demanded the workers take a huge pay cut, but since the factory was in a state with a right to work law the union lacked the clout to stand up for the workers and were forced to accept the companies demands.

Do Work

Coined by Rob Dyrdek and his personal body guard Christopher "Big Black" Boykins, "Do Work" works as a self motivator, to motivating your friends. It ranges from, but is not limited to "taking a dump" and "Nailing" a skateboarding trick. The possibilities for this phrase are endless, you just have to know how to use it.

Also, D.W, short for "Do Work" can be used as well.
Example:

Person 1: I'm going to backflip off of this 20 foot ledge.
Person 2: DO WORK!

Example 2:
Person 1: Oh shit son, did you see that backflip off that 20 foot ledge?!
Person 2: DO WORK BABY!, D. W. DO WORK.

Work Do

British Slang - noun:

A work social or party with your co-workers arranged at a venue or just the pub or even within the office/workplace.

Usually arranged by someone at work.
1) The christmas work do

2) "Sick and tired of the same old work do's?"

3) Ben: Are you going to the work do this weekend?"

Josh: "Nah, I gotta date with this girl instead"

poor staff work

A catch all excuse for plagerism by public figures, politicians and occasionally ,students.
1. Governor Palin's office explains the use of unattributed material from a four year old Newt Gingrich article that she used in a recent speech as "poor staff work".

2. Professor Smith: Mr Jones, I have read your speech that you "wrote" for your semester project . I must say , it bears an uncanny resemblance to the Gettysburg Address, the reference to "your friend Abe" not withstanding. Your explanation?

Mr . Jones: Oh...sorry dude , poor staff work.

A usual response to the question "Wassup can a loc come up in your crib?"
Saying that you will see he who questions you at your place of work, on top of this we can imply that the two people conversing are from the same place of work
