Someone who purposefully exposes themselves to triggering stimuli, typically trying to sabotage their own recovery. Especially common with addicts & anorexics.

She made a new Tumblr account so she could look at thinspo and pro ana blogs. She's such trigger trash!!!

Trigger Girl

A character in a piece of media who enters into the story as one of the most powerful, charismatic, and almost always morally-correct characters. If they have any character flaws, it will be because they "care too much" or are "hot-headed" despite winning every fight they have. Unlike a Mary Sue, the story does not revolve around the Trigger Girl and the plot will resolve around things a Trigger Girl can't beat into submission (e.g. solving a mystery, fixing a broken family, being a side character)

the act of going door to door with a gun and stealing candy. Preferably on October 31st.

Clay was not satisfied with the amount of candy he received on Halloween, so he decided to go trigger treating and filled 3 trashbags of candy, watches and money by the end of the night.

trigger warning baby

A self victimizing individual who attempts to elicit sympathy or pity for attention by posting various posts online beginning with a trigger warning. These posts often threaten that the individual in question will leave a group, leave a social media website, harm self, or even commit suicide. The goal of these posts that a trigger warning baby makes are attempt to emotionally blackmail or guilt trip others into talking to him/her, privately messaging him/her, or even attempting to find a significant other.

The forum moderator had to ban him for being such a trigger warning baby.
