Stake-Out, Fake-Out

(V). The act of scheduling an appointment to lead your boss to believe your busy, then calling the client and canceling the meeting the night before. The Stake-Out Fake-Out is completed upon telling your boss that the client canceled the meeting themselves, thus freeing you up for maximum gym time.
Abel: Do we have a meeting tomorrow?

Derek: Yeah, but i was thinking of pulling the ole' Stake-Out, Fake-Out.

Belmont Stakes

The third race in the Triple Crown. It is held at Belmont Park in New York. This is the longest race in the Triple Crown, as it is 1 1/2 miles, and it can make or break a Triple Crown champion.
The most impressive running of the Belmont Stakes was in 1973 when Secretariat won by an astounding 31 lengths and set the still-standing world record of 2:24 for a mile and a half.
