Motel Matches

Motel matches used to be matchbooks with the motel's name on the cover. If you met a girl or a guy in a bar or wherever and saw them use motel matches to light their cigarettes or someone else's, then it would be possible to assume that this person was a frequent "visitor" to that particular motel...or some kind of sex worker.
Elvis Costello had a song on his "Get Happy!!" album in the 1980's with that same title "Motel Matches".

There's a chorus in the song that goes:

"Boys everywhere, fumbling with the catches
I struck lucky with motel matches
Falling for you without a second look
Falling out of your open pocketbook
Giving you away like motel matches"

Implying that he's falling in love with a Hooker

Yeah I thought she was the one. But nope... She was all just motel matches.

I passed on hittin' that.

grudge match

grudge match -noun.
In a competitive gaming environments, and two players are playing a match, when one player loses and percieves his loses to be a result of a bullshit, whack, gay, stupid, or retarded event decides to rematch or rechallenge his opponent. The following match is called a grudge match. The player who lost in the previous game considers himself better and is deemed to have a grudge against the winning opponent.

- The Duc vs. Sanford money match at Evo 2006. The match was to be best 4/7, and once Duc lost, he believed that he was the fair victor, grudge matched Sanford to a game 8.
- 1hitcombo is notorious for his grudge matches vs. middle kingpin at Xmen vs. Street Fighter. The two players have grudge matched each other no less than 30 games at a time, each believing himself to be the better player, and always attesting their losses to bullshit.

hatched, matched, and dispatched

A lady never wants her name in print except on the occasion of her birth, her marriage, and her death.

For example, one would not want to be pictured intoxicated at a gathering. "Never be photographed with a drink in your hand" is companion advice from parents to children teaching proper decorum. No matter how much fun one has in private, among trusted friends, one must only be put before the public when hatched, matched, and dispatched. Being thrust into the public eye is inherently distasteful.
