Formerly a way for a nice guy to express frustration that a female friend of his was always telling him she needed to be with a guy like him in between dating guys who treated her like crap. Now a reason for misandrist feminists to play the victim card and write shrill screeds about how the concept of the friend zone is "sexist" and claim that the men think being nice to a woman obligates her to have sex with them. The feminists ignore the probability that the men actually want relationships with the women and the women really are just shallow and attracted to "bad boys" who really do treat them like crap.

when a guy who is attracted to a girl spends too much time with her. This leads to the girl thinking that they are just friends, or in some extreme scenarios that he is a homosexual. The boy will usually keep spending time with her even after being repeatedly told by his friends to give up on her and move on. An imaginary place where teenagers (commonly guys) believe to be placed in when a girl just wants to be friends with him. This is the place where guys are placed when the guy expects that he will have sex with a girl if he is nice to her. He is friendly to a woman in hopes that she will have sex with him. They believe that she mistakes his friendliness for friendliness and befriends him, neglecting to show you her vagina. Then they proceed to complain about it on the internet.
Scenario 1:

The friends zone is when a girl is not sexily interested in you. You are then labeled as just friend and it is hard to get out of. This is something you should avoid. But if this dose happen the it is just up to luck for you to get out of.
