A modern couple who prefer to enjoy life a bit before having kids. Usually the couple will be seen as "careless" with money - when in fact they're just harmlessly spending the money they have saved by not having kids early in life.

Seen as derogatory term by over-jealous idiots that decide to have kids at 16 and therefore have lost the majority of their youth to dirty nappies and child benefit.

Little do they realise that most DINKYs settle down at 30 and have kids - so they get the best of both worlds. In fact most DINKYs by this point have been able to save some of their extra cash to support the child when it finally comes...giving the child a better chance at life.

cigarette dinky dow

GI slang for a joint, especially one made from a real cigarette by removing the tobacco and stuffing the wrapper with marijuana. In Saigon this usually meant Park Lanes, or menthol brands, cigarettes that weren't popular with the troops. Re-sealed in their original package, they looked like an ordinary pack of cigarettes to help troops deal with authority, but it could also be used to refer to any joint.

From the Vietnamese term 'dien cai dau,' meaning crazy, so cigarette that makes you crazy or crazy cigarette.

Three of us got boo coo messed up on some cigarette dinky dow last night.

dinky

a small 3 wheeled tricycle for children usually under the age of 4. this bike consists of one approximately 10 inch wheel with pedals at the front and 2 small 5 inch wheels at the back. the dinky may also have a small tray beneath the 2 rear wheels.
the dinky is usually blue in colour with a yellow or white, flat seat. these bikes can be ridden by adults for a joke or to take off a jump for fun.

the boy was very proud of himself. he was the only boy in the neighbourhood with a shiny new dinky, he could not wait to ride it.

Not to be confused with dingy, or dinghy, this word is an adjective used to desribe anything that's insignificant, worth little to nothing in value, smaller in size, or just overall crappy.

1. Put that dinky toy back on the shelf. It's gay.

2. I wanted an iPhone, but all I got was this dinky Sprint Touch.

3. I couldn't afford a large fry, so I just ordered the dinky small size.

4. My mom said as a teenager, she drove a dinky Geo Metro.

An alternate word for the term "hyphy." Also similar to the word "crunk". Originating in Northern California but has now spread to many other areas of the state, as well as other states; dinkytown is often referenced by teenagers in regards to alcohol, illicit drugs, or partying in general.

"We be goin' stupid, dumb, and DINKYTOWN, bitch!"
"We goin' to Dinkytown tonight."
"I drank so much last night, I went to DINKYTOWN!"

Joe: Can you believe how insane that party was last weekend? I don't think I've ever been that high in my life!
Jane: I know, it was so dinkytown!
