Anime

an-ni-mey

Is the reason you are loosing an average of 4 hours of sleep per night; seeing your grades drop steadily; loosing at least 5G storage on your phone/computer; slowly becoming bankrupt (for some 'weird' reason); evolving slowly into a hermit crab that only moves occasionally to feed on pocky (or other Weeaboo captivated objects); and forgetting to go outside on most days (ahem, everyday).

It is also the concept that bought us all together in an element; formed a bond; changed your sentiment on life; took you on individual adventures (despite the fact that you never actually moved from your beds); and last of all, opened up a new world for you.
"Man, what happened to your grades?"
"Anime happened."

"Do you have any inspiration for us, Mr/Mrs President?"
"Idk, go home and watch some anime."

Animaniacs

Created by Steven Spielberg, Animaniacs was a cartoon that aired from 1993-1998. It starred three cat/dog like siblings named Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Warner. Each episode had about two or three skits each, one of which usually starred the Warner siblings, while the others featured recurring characters (Slappy and Skippy Squirrel, Pinky and the Brain, Buttons and Mindy, etc.). Original songs could be seen on the show, as well. Animaniacs ultimately had 99 episode, one spin-off series (Pinky and the Brain 1995-1999) and one movie (Wakko's Wish 1999). The show was kid and adult friendly, since it had both zany cartoon themes and pop culture/modern day references and jokes. Ultimately, Animaniacs gained a loyal fan following and many prestigious awards.

animu

The word Animu is a joke used to describe both Anime and Japanophiles who attempt to give Japanese sounding pronunciations to words that were not Japanese to begin with. It is not meant to describe any specific form of Anime.

It is my belief that the word originated on the SA forums.
Stop watching all that animu crap.

Post-Anime Depression

The sinking, sad feeling that one gets after finishing a really good, funny, or original anime. This feeling may also be extended to TV shows, music, books, and video games.
Anime nerd 1: Damn, dude! I just finished Death Note and i can't stop feeling dead inside!

Anime nerd 2: Sounds like a case of Post-Anime Depression to me!

Anime Memes

The absolute worst attempt at humor to ever be made. These "memes" use the same exact three to five templates which all are very similar to eachother. Anime memes also use the same five god awful punchlines. 99% of the time these jokes use the most outdated humor that was once relevant five years ago. These jokes 99% are made and are appealing to the shittiest of people who think reddit and Twitter humor are the funniest thing ever.
Person 1: "Hey check out this Anime Meme I found on reddit."
Person 2: "Never show me anything you find online ever again, Anime Memes are the shittiest memes I've ever seen."
