yellow flag

a phrase used to describe how good or how bad something is. about equivalent to moderate. you can also use words such as, green or red flag. red being the worst flag of them all and green being the best.

lexi: damn did you see that dad walk by?
me: he's definitely not a dad. he's only yellow flag.
lexi: you're right, he's probably 3/4 of a dad.

yellow-blazed

adj. Term Describing a light-industrial trail (at least a 2-track) found in forests or parks adjacent to hiking trails. Describes a trail of easy terrain, usually circumventing dificult terrain on normal trails.

v. The act of using a non-standard/access road-style trail to bypass dificult terrain on a hike.

When someone always "ramps up" the conversation without provocation. Devrived from the game Angry Birds in which the yellow bird, when tapped will immediately double its speed at the current trajectory with total disregard to the consequences.

When the bouncer told Lawrence his party was not on the list he "yellowbirded it".

I never thought that we would get him calmed down.
