Though he was an incredible song writer and awesome front man, his vocal were just slightly above average in comparison, to many other popular hard rock bands. (just compare his live vocals to studio albums and you'll see they had to tweak his vocals by large margins). Examples of better singers include Steven Tyler and Freddie Mercury either live sounds practically the same as they do on studio albums. Released several solo albums after the break up of led zeppelin in 1980 after Drummer john Boham's death. they were realatively uninspired and didnt have nearly the impact his earlier work did. Will always be regarded as one of the most influential artist in rock n' rolls grand history.
