This term is often miss understood,and used by often by “nice guys ”/“nice girls” not all the time though.
The person who has been shot down is now in the “friend zone” can have one of two responses; 1) excepting the fact that the other person does NOT like the romantically back. Or 2) being a butt hurt little bitch and blasting out with aggression and anger often and insulting the other person.

Guy: YOU FUCKING SLUT I CANT BELIEVE THAT YOU WOULD DO THIS TO ME I’M A NICE GUY BITCH I HOPE YOU GET BEAT UP AND DIE
In both situations the guy character has been friend zoned by the girl however how the guy reacted was wrong in the second scenario PLEASE DONT BE A PRICK JUST EXPECT THAT SHE STILL WANTS TO BE YOUR FRIEND
