It originally was written in the Runic alphabet, also known as Futhark. However, when the elves adopted monotheism, they abandoned the Runic alphabet, due to Scriptural prohibitions against witchcraft. Note runes are used in witchcraft. Instead, elves now use the Latin alphabet. There's also another elven language, known as Alfsprache, or Alfdeutsche. This means "elf-german." Elves use both languages.
Foolish Tolkien fans, don't you know the elven language, is actually called Alfrmal or Alfarmal? It's not "Elvish!" Please correct your mistake!

Looking at Alfheim Norden's Ministry of Culture stats page, I see there's a sizable populations of humans, and other interesting creatures, visiting Alfhiem Norden. Elves are very friendly and sociable, so this isn't surprising.
