A slang term that's short for them. Like the word them, it can be used to refer to a group of people, or a singular person. It can also be used as a shorted version of they for anyone who uses they/them pronouns.
Example 1 (Group of people):
Who are those guys at the con? I like 'em.
Example 2 (Person who uses they/them pronouns)
Person 1: What are you going to get Rain for their birthday?
Person 2: I'm going to get 'em a new phone.
Example 3 (Single person - Gender Unknown):
Person 1: Who was that?
Person2: I didn't see 'em

Get the showed emmug. "em raef" is simply "fear me" spelled backwards. It is a hidden message used to alert people that they should not feel safe around the person saying it.
