Depression munchies

The consumption of large amounts of junk food in an attempt to relieve symptoms of major depression, such as; excessive crying, numbness, fatigue, isolation, anxiety.

Is usually a long term habit and is used as a coping mechanism, similar to binge eating.

Depression

The constant feeling of being trapped and forgotten. Feeling the world wouldnt change without you, feeling like you have nothing to love for. The feeling that no one will ever understand you so much, that you don't even understand yourself, so you don't want to exist, you want to disappear and never come back.
I've had depression for 4 years now...I just hate who I am...is that wrong?

Depression

A pain inside that is so unbearable. It hurts like hell and makes you wonder why you are alive. You tell people you're okay, when really you're not. You try to find alternatives to this feeling, but you can't find one. You start to do self-harm because it's better than feeling depressed. You push family and friends. You want to find someone to hug and hold, but you push people away. Running away and self-harm feel like the only antidote. Depression is one of main cause of suicide. You feel like there's no one there and no one cares. Depression is like living in hell, in a fire pit. You feel like your having a heart attack. You are so hurt that you start to not care about emotions. You start to forget how to feel other emotions.
Person 1: "Are you okay?"
Person 2: "Yeah, I'm fine."
Person 1: "You sure? You have many scars on your arm."
Person 2: "I'm fine. No one would care if I told anyone anyway."
Person 1: "Do you have Depression?"
Person 2: Walks away.

depression

it’s a lot like love. everyone around you seems to be under it’s spell. it looks better than it is. the way people describe it never makes sense to people who don’t have it. not everyone who has it has it in the same way. it varies for everyone. people like to brag and say they have it when they really have no idea what it even is. and of course it’s thrown around way too lightly in conversation.
“dude my depression is really fucking me up this month”

ah that sad movie gives me depression!”
“no you’re just sad. don’t throw serious words around trying to sound cool”

“my depression feels like i’m in a blocked off cave that i know is there but i keep pretending isn’t.”
“oof, mines like being in the deepest part of the ocean and feeling comfortable but still worthless, but when you’re out of the ocean and look down at it, it’s the most terrifying thing you’ve ever seen and u can’t believe u used to be there and u didn’t hate it at the moment.”
