Fooled by Society Theory shows how we are socialized into seeing the world in particular ways, then mistake that socialized vision for reality itself. What we take for granted—gender, money, justice, truth—are social products, but we experience them as natural. We are fooled when we forget that society made the world we see, and that other societies see differently.
