When an extra eco-friendly person shames you for using convenient everyday plastic or paper products that have recently been deemed harmful for the environment.

My coworker plastic-shamed me for ten minutes when she saw my sandwich in a plastic baggie.

Dustin plastic-shamed the waiter for offering us straws.

Kaitlin bought me reusable diapers for my newborn, plastic-shaming me about dirty diapers in land fills.

Shame someone for being a wimp, less of a man than expected or desired.

He was beta-shamed into shoveling that snow.

shade shaming

Shade shaming: mocking, ridiculing, or teasing someone about the amount of melanin in their skin. #shadeshaming

Examples of shade shaming: You're not black enough. You're SO dark!". You need to cover up those freckles!"

or white people, you know you love this one--"you're so PALE! You need some sun!" And of course, there's the infamous "what ARE you"? The only reason to ask a person "what" they are in terms of race is because you're going to form a new opinion of them based upon their answer, which is...you guessed it...a form of #RACISM.
