notorious monster

(N.) A monster in Final Fantasy XI that has special restrictions to how it spawns. These restrictions can either be a time limit or a forced spawn, to force the monster to appear by baiting it out. Notorious monsters almost always have unique names and are more powerful then the other monsters around. Notorious monsters often reward you with special or expensive items uppon defeating them.

Weighing in at a whopping 235 pounds or more, and benching at least 275 pounds.Often characterized by massive pecs and an even larger ego. All around the best kind of guy one could ever meet!

Jacob: You see that guy over there?
Sean: You mean the one benching 275 over there?
Jacob:Yeah, that guy is a total Chest Monster,just look at those Pecs!
Sean: I know what you mean, I hope i can be as strong as him one day!

Smoke Monster

A plot mechanism designed to disguise the fact that the writer hasn't closed a plot hole. Often used in lame TV shows that make their money from convincing the audience that they have some deep meaning when in fact they are making it up as they go along.

Lostie, Season 2: I bet the smoke monster is some deep metaphysical representation of the life force that is harnessed on the island!

A singular or group party of ugly dyke bitches. Which at first glance, you believe they came out from under a rock from the bottom depths of the ocean.

Grudge Monster

Any of the now-familiar creepy ghosts in Japanese horror/thriller films. Aka ghost children, women with long black hair, crawly people on a ceiling, and crawly people coming out of television sets.

So named after the various forms of ghost as seen in The Grudge.

I'm too scared to go get your stuff out of the closet alone, because a Grudge Monster might get me!
