Completing meaningless tasks which provide solely artificial (and no real-world) value. Jumping through hoops put there for the sake of it as opposed to achieve anything.

Person 1: "On my degree course I learned next to nothing useful, I felt like all I had to do was larp to meet a large word count."

Person 2: "Same here, my final assignment was just me larping for 10,000 words."

Someone who will overdo something, example being a roleplay, and then they feel extremely proud of it, even though it turned into a massive mess, the people who created the mess wouldn't care, as they feel they had accomplished something out of that
