Didier

Didier is a friendly, yet entirlely clutsy young man who may be a little too eccentric for his own good. He is often decent looking, but doesnt really realize it until some skank comes along and tells him so. Self esteem can be very high or low depending on his circumstances, and is often liked by many people, again, without realizing it. Someone who sounds very much like a walrus when they laugh, kind of an ARARARARARAR sound. Didier's are very delicate creatures, and take offense quite easily, but if you befriend them, they will give you a good many laughs with their humourous ways.

The guy in high school all the girls think is cute, but they are too ashamed to admit it.

Digital douchebag

A "digital expert" that works for an advertising agency. Usually has a title like Digital Producer, Digital Manager, Social Media Manager or Digital Strategy Advisor.

Their job usually involves spending all their time looking for "cool shit" on the internet and charging you large amounts of money to show you a bunch of Youtube clips or provide a report that advises you to set up a Facebook account for your company.

Joe: Wow that Digital Douchebag down at the agency sent me a link to this awesome video! Did you know that China will soon become the number one English speaking country in the world?

Digital Bullying

Digital bullying is a phenomenon which reared it's head on a Association Football message board for the English Club side Coventry City.

One seasoned contributor to the forums accused the rest of the user base of "Digital Bullying", in a tearful farewell post.

He believed that he was the victim of a premeditated vitriolic hate campaign to drive him away from the forum that he loved so dearly.

User1: I'm never going to post here again. insert tearful memories here I can't take this Digital Bullying anymore.

User2: F**k off then, you wan**er!

Digital nativism

Mistaken belief that young folks who were born immersed in things digital are somehow in a state of grace and older folks are cursed by their age and lack of digital conditioning. Arrogant and insulting division of generations into different camps first proposed by Marc Prensky but unfounded on any survey data.

With an insulting tone worthy of the original American nativists who hated immigrants (especially Catholic ones), Marc Prensky speaks of pre-iPod humans (digital immigrants) contemptuously. This is simply digital nativism, a kind of generational prejudice that is ill founded and unsubstantiated.
