Costasian

A group of people of Asian decent that shop at Costco, walking slowly and hovering over a shopping cart. These folks run to the sample tables, and push through the crowd for a bite. They are typically agressive. Often they lie down on the display patio furniture when they need to rest.

Damnit! I was trying to get a bbq pork meatball sample but the costasians beat me to it.

A "costest" in cosplay is testing out a cosplay. So hair/wig and makeup etc. to see how it looks and where it needs improvement.

zero cost abstraction

A buzzword usually uttered by someone trying to sell you the idea that you should rewrite your project in Rust. It supposedly means "free" abstractions that don't come with overheads and penalties, but in reality they're anything but free.

If you hear someone use the term zero cost abstraction unironically, run as fast as you possibly can because you're cornered by a snake oil salesman.

Costanza comeback

A phenomenal comeback to an insult, that arrives in your head only 30 minutes too late. Coined from George's antics in the "Jerk Store" episode of Seinfeld. Frequently encountered during the car ride home from somewhere and in more extreme cases while in bed the night after getting humiliated.

After getting caught ingesting pounds of shrimp in a meeting a coworker tells George that, "the ocean called, they're running out of shrimp" To this shaming George has no reply. Then on the drive home he comes up with a Costanza comeback, "well the Jerk Store called and they're running out of you!"

costello

someone who is very immature and sarcastic at times, but ultimately funny in being so. This person also has sadistic ways of going about things, but can be very serious about certain things. Costellos always push people to do their best. They are also very soft on the inside, and may disguise liking you in forms of teasing and sarcastic comments. All in all, Costello's are very beneficial to have in your life if you know their rules and play by them.

My swim coach is such a costello, but he's the best coach I've ever had.
