Bourgeois

Originally "city-dwellers". During the middle ages, farmers and the lower class left the fields to live in cities. As they got richer, they gave birth to the middle class: Non-nobles with power. Thanks to their influence feudalism became more democratic, and after years of hard work they managed to switch sides from the oppressed to the oppressors. In countries like Russia the fall of the monarch led to a class struggle where bourgeois, the middle class, where seen as evil as the upper class.

Even if today the noun has lost all relevance, some SJW insist on using it as an insult while the peasants who grow their food still have to work their asses off for less than minimum wage.

bourgeoisie redneck

Bourgeoisie rednecks is a derogatory term chiefly, but not exclusively, applied to white Americans who largely tend to be crass and unsophisticated. The term is closely associated with urban whites of the rust belt states who attempt to act higher in the socio-economic status than they really are.

While Bourgeoisie rednecks are cultural decedents of rednecks of the antebellum south, they have assimilated with black redneck culture - as such they tend to listen to gangsta rap music, wear Nike attire, and use the word 'nigga' in an affectionate manner. Bourgeoisie rednecks are politically conflicted, on the one hand they want all the free handouts of the government (welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, etc) to supplement their lifestyle but on the other hand they know better and understand how ghetto it is to rely on the government.

What truly creates their own distinct cultural entity from your run-of-the-mill redneck is the desire to project an image of refined cultural affluence, or even in some instances societal superiority by means of extravagance purchases as a means displaying their affluence. They will make extravagant purchases to seem like they made it and may even talk about how they are only a few credits away from graduating from college. Everything they do is simply a ruse to make others believe they are doing better than what they are.
