"To do for Africa" is a phrase that is used to describe an exaggerated pattern or extravagance thoughts. The phrase is curled up from an idea repeating something or process for each individual in Africa which will eventually take a lot of time and resources for the size of the population. It can be likened to the common phrase "for all the teas in China"

Used to emphasize the amount of time one has gone without doing something by comparing to the colonization of Africa, which happened in the 9th century.
"Oh man, I haven't watched this show in Africa long!"
