Gashenomics

Gashenomics are current President of Pepperdine's policies which have reflected a poor outcome since the administration began.

Cost of attendance has increased over 34% in just 5 years (~72k in 2019 to ~95k in 2024).

The school ranking has decreased over 30 spots from 46, now 76, tied with University at Buffalo (The steepest decline of any top 100 institution).

The graduation rate has fallen, transfer-out rates have increased.

There are students with no options for housing since they have over-accepted students because they lost a lot of money in the pandemic. Acceptance rate is up from low 30's back in 2019 to now ~50% in 2023.

Audrey: Why is our tuition so high when the school's reputation has gone downhill so fast... I mean look at the plummet in our ranking!

Gasheight

When someone lies about their actual height by 2in or more. An example being when someone’s online dating profile lists their height as 6ft but their actual height is around 5’8.

I met up with that guy from bumble, but I was definitely gasheighted. His profile said 5’7 but he is 100% 5’3!
