1. Someone who stands to gain power, influence or funding by spreading fear in the general population. 2. A sophisticated type of 21st century fear monger who uses PR methods to generate panic, doubt and free-floating anxiety. 3. Dick Cheney and his ilk.

Thanks to that Fear Profiteer in Wyoming, all shampoo bottles will be banned on U.S. flights.

double feature

The act of seeing two movies for the price of one at a public movie theater. You watch the first movie, take special notice of when the next movie will start, hang out in the restroom until the appropriate start time, and then mosey on over to the correct theater. It causes undue stress for only saving 10 bucks, but it can make an afternoon fly by.

So I was checking out a double feature the other day, but I was so nervous I hid out in the women's restroom! So much for not calling attention to myself

Basically this is a phobia of long words. And if you've noticed, the phobia itself is a long word. Whoever made this was obviously a jackass.

However, in an interview conducted some time ago, Burton Bell stated that a Fear Factory (paraphrase) is "any institution that manufactures fear".

An example of a fear factory is "any institution that manufactures fear, such as a religious organization or government".

To quit a video game out of fear rather than rage, à la ragequitting. Usually because of something so mindfuckingly scary you literally cannot continue playing.

Gamer 1: Oh, dude, I just got Dead Space 2, I couldn't even finish Dead Space.
Gamer 2: Why?
Gamer 1: I kept fearquitting!

Later that day...

Gamer 1: Never again...never again...
Gamer 2: You fearquit, bro?
