A "company" portraying themselves as an authentic manufacturer or a product but in reality another separate manufacturer does all of the production behind the scenes. The ghostbrand has nothing to do with the manufacturing. Many new internet brands would fit the definition of a ghostbrand as they're often little more than internet marketing companies who sign up for private label programs offered by existing manufacturers who do all of the production, manufacturing and in some cases order handling and drop-shipping direct to a customer. As all of the production is done by another manufacturer, all the ghostbrand has to do all day is marketing. Example: Casper mattress. They are not a mattress manufacturer, they don't make their own product -- someone else does. They are actually just a marketing brand pretending to be a mattress manufacturer. Ghostbrands usually grow through shady affiliate marketing techniques, such as through commissioned "reviewers" on platforms like youtube whereby reviewers are paid hefty commissions for pretending to give unbiased reviews when users click their link and make a purchase or use discount codes.

Oh, you bought a insert ghostbrand? Congratulations, you just enriched a marketing company that pretends to make that product. Nice one bruh.

ghost vibes

Ghost Vibes is difficult to explain because it's a feeling. The term originates from a friend group in Uncle Fatih's pizza joint off Granville Street in Vancouver. Cue spooky music inside and a man sitting alone falling asleep like a shell of a human in his chair. One friend tries to see if this drunk mans is okay but he was basically mute. The girls look at each other and one says "ghost vibes." The term now lives on to describe ~chaos~, but you gotta experience it to understand.

Think extreme chaotic energy/things are weird AF/ people are unwell/ nothing makes sense/it's ~spooky~ but not in a horror movie kind of way.. but also kind of. Like something that gives you such wack vibes it seems lowkey paranormal but you also know it's not . As u can tell, very hard to explain. Can also be used in the format of "a ghost vibe" for a singular vibe.
