Giant Death-Ray In The Backyard

1)Boredom.
2)to have a GDRITBY: to be bored,
3)to build a GDRITBY, to kill time,
4)to be a GDRITBY, to be an amusing waste of time, an easy ride, or a complete wank.
(it is considered a faux-pass to specify possesion of the backyard in question)
Of Washington D.C./VA/MD (USA) regional origin, generaly thought to have been inspired by an episode of Myth-Busters, and; or the ramblings of a random meth-head who works in a drivethru.
"What are you doing Friday?"
"Not much, just building a giant death-ray in the backyard."
"Indeed."

Death toll rising rule

A rule used primarily in stand up comedy which assesses a comedian's ability to make jokes about a recent tragedy. The basic rule is: as long as the death toll is rising, jokes are out of bounds. The rule is commonly broken by many comedians as we all know jokes surrounding tragedies are the funniest.

As soon as the toll stops the subject becomes open for comedy, as seen in many recent tragedies.
Man 1 - How many earthquake victims does it take to change a lightbulb?

Man 2 - Dude, don't make jokes....death toll rising rule...

finger of death

A Dungeons and Dragons spell. Finger of death is a spell wizards and sorcerers can learn and cast as a level 6 spell and druids can cast a level 7 spell. It is cast on one living target, which has to make a fortitude saving throw or die immediately. Targets which make a successful fortitude save take 3d6 points of damage plus 1 point per level of the caster, up to 3d6 + 25. A target with a sufficiently low amount of hit points can die even if a successful fortitude save is made.
I'm having a lucky streak: the most difficult creature I encounter between resting periods always fails its fortitude save when I give it the finger of death :D

deachy

To do something of a questionable and/or of a puzzling nature. Unpredictable, unnatural and of sketchy moral bent.
One great example would be from "Hello Ma Baby" on YouTube "I can see the lipstick on your shirt you deachy bastard" and "I'm sorry that I made you blue, that was a deachy thing to do".
