Most of the people who liked goth music liked the spooky sounding music. Goth is mainly about the music, but there are two styles of goth; Trad Goth and Deathrock. Deathrock dressed in deathawk, tartan pants, leather jacket, and the like. Deathrock is also to describe one of the branches of goth music. Alien Sex Fiend is an example of a Deathrock band. Trad Goths liked their hair really teased up and liked to wear leather jackets, vinyl pants or skirts, and wore their favorite post punk, deathrock, goth rock, or no wave band shirt. The batcave was very popular place to go to for goths. Mainly goth music and fashion is a diy, so most goths went to thrift stores to get their clothes. Joy Division is one of the most popular and cult like bands in the goth music scene today. Some other goth bands are Specimen, Sex Gang Children, The Cure, and The Birthday Party.
