standards that raise video games to the highest standards possible. popular big name games such as Halo, Half Life, Metal Gear Solid, etc do not score very high because they are unoriginal and not very fun. For a game to score high, it must very innovative and fun. (I.E. Mario, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime, Geist, Paper Mario, ZELDA, etc.)

Uneducated Gamer: Does anyone know if I should preorder Halo 3?

Hardcore gamer: No way man, Ghostz's Standards flopped it before it was announced. Stay far away from this one.

Standardista

The term standardista has become the general nomenclature for describing a web developer/designer who is actively involved in the creation, adoption, and/or promotion of web standards.

This term also can be applied in a derogatory fashion to those who follow standards without understanding why they are standards.

Ted considers himself to be a standardista and seems to think it is normal to pay for sex.

Community Standards

Often arbitrary and nonsensical overbearing "rules" created and constantly changed by basement dwellers to take revenge on the world for always getting picked last at sports or the prom. Added to and made more oppressive weekly, or whenever the moderators run out of hot pockets.
