The poseur told the other person how to join her poseur cult and winked after she said it to indicate she was feigning kidding while looking and sounding serious (but claimed to not care what anybody thought of her even though everyone else did care what people thought of them).

She always said she didn't care what anybody thought, or preached to everyone about how they should all be themselves and stop trying to prove they were good people, but really she was more desperate than anybody to convince others she didn't care what anybody thought. There were those of them that could see through the rungs in her ladder, as she could see through the rungs in theirs.

Get the poseur mug.Someone that gets on social media to post about "living" by showing off a picture of themself climbing a hill or doing something else that makes them look "active", then rants about other people that use social media to talk about life, even though they're on social media themselves.
If living is what that poseur is doing, I don't want any part of it. I like my life the way it is, and if the poseur has anything to say directly to anybody that he/she has deemed more passive than him/her, why doesn't he/she?

Get the poseur mug.The poseur didn't believe there was anybody out there who wasn't trying to take advantage of any oppurtunity they could, or try and walk over anybody they could, or that if there was somebody like that, they were doing it for the same reason he/she was, to win or make himself/herself look good/popular (or even outcast if that made him/her popular with other people that had been rejected by others, anything to keep himself/herself from ending up alone). The poseur didn't really believe there was such a thing as goodness, but knew how to manipulate people through organizations such as religious organizations by speaking a language that he/she thought people wanted to hear (such as there are good people out there or the world can change it's heart). The poseur never once thought that the world might not want it's heart changed for it, that the world thought it's heart was good the way it was, the poseur never once thought that because the poseur didn't give a fuck what people thought about anything, but desperately cared what people thought of him/her (despite saying the opposite, that he/she cared about people but not what they thought).

Get the Poseur mug.The poseur called the skyline of the state capital their skyline, (as she wasn't originally from the state capital, and it really was their skyline, the people originally from the state capital) but convienently neglected to call the skyline of the state's largest city their skyline too, (as she wasn't originally from the state's largest city either, and it really was their skyline, the people originally from the state's largest city) instead calling it "our" skyline to make herself appear to be less of an outsider to locals she was trying to walk all over by benefitting from being seen as one of their own (though she was not, she wasn't who she said she was).

Get the Poseur mug.Someone that liked Barney the purple dinosaur, Power Rangers, Lil Kim, Britney Spears, and a bunch of other bubblegum pop or mainstream music as a kid and tried to make fun of "weird" music like Nirvana, Nine Inch nails, or even Marilyn Manson, (calling it devil's music or music for people obsessed with sex) then at an oppurtune time in life when he/she sees an advantage or benefit in doing so, claims to love this kind of music and memorizes all the songs, lyrics, and life stories about them so that he/she will beat anybody (Buzz Lightyear style) at his/her superficial, trivia kind of knowledge of music history game about each band.
The poseur doesn't listen to the music to go back to another time, it's not really anywhere in his/her memory or heart, he/she holds nothing sacred, it's just a means to an end for him/her to try and gain newfound stripes with a group of people that he/she hopes won't see right through him/her.
