Used in Singapore and Malaysia associated with the game Snooker but commonly used to define situations in life as well.
When a snooker ball is placed well to defend against the opponent, the opponent can't hit the target ball directly, we call this a snook. You are snooked when you are in this situation and have to find your way out of it. It also can mean you can't do anything in this situation and you just give up and not do anything.
