Douchebag

Although often simply used as a general perjorative, the word has come to have an increasingly specific meaning of "elitist."

For example, on the TV show How I Met Your Mother, the character, Karen, an exgirlfriend of Ted's is considered "douchey" because she says elitist things, such as the time she suggested going to Wrestlemania and it turned out she was only being "ironic."

Also related to hipster douchebag, a term used to describe cultural elitism.
