Political lesbianism

Political lesbianism is a practice of intentionally choosing a lesbian identity for political and feminist reasons. Political lesbians reject sexual and romantic relationships with men and choose to develop relationships with women instead. They may or may not be sexually attracted to women, and they may or may not engage in sex with women. They may believe that sexual orientation can be freely chosen, or that "lesbianism" doesn't require homosexuality, only not having sex with men and orienting one's life around women. The concept of political lesbianism originated in the 1970s and '80s. It is controversial; many lesbians find the term offensive because they regard their sexual attraction to women as innate rather than chosen and define their lesbianism based on that attraction, regardless of politics.
Feminist scholar Sheila Jeffreys advocated political lesbianism as a way for feminists to center their lives around other women.

'Why do you care?' politics

Liberal political strategy as it relates to social issues. I'm going to break this down to demonstrate that liberals are not smart in any way shape or form and that I AM smart and better than everyone.

Hym "So, 'Why do you care?' politics comes in response to conservative protestations to non-traditional behavior of lifestyles. And it looks like this:"

Trans-gender *exists*

Conservative "Booooo... My incest cult says a magic man forgives all of the bad things I knowingly do and I am immortal... So the tranny can't do that."

Liberal "Why do you care?"
Hym "And it's a stupid question. But I'll explain it to you anyway. As Matt Walsh recently said, they think that the absence of problems (-P) = doing an incest cult. So, they care because when you have problems you are going to try to reach your grubby little hands into their solipsistic sphere of subjectivity for a solution to those problems and that might require them to do something other than an incest cult. They're locked in. Or WORSE... Someone who isn't doing an incest cult would be absent of problems. -P would = both doing a incest cult and not doing an incest cult. That would violate the law of non-contradiction. BUT! What they fail to understand... Is that giving the incest cult credit for things it didn't do... Is part of the incest cult. So, back to the trans example... When it comes to hiring, treatment, and rights... They want doing a transgenderism to = (P) problems. And they are actively working to make it so. And that is the case for ALL NON-INCEST CULT VARIABLES. So we'll say they want X (Not doing an incest cult) to = P and they want Y (Doing and incest cult) to = -P and they are doing that deliberately. So, in summary, they care because it invalidates the assertion that X = -P and if X /= -P then they might have to grapple withe the fact that X = P for everyone who isn't doing X. 'Why do you care?' Politics won't ever work because they will always shift into apologetics. Which is just meaningless bloviating that doesn't address the actual issue at hand."

Political denial syndrome

Aka. P.D.S.; A major social and political problem where an individual to identify as being a supporter of one political party and or ideology, but then changes their identity and or ideology done often times to better align with their values and beliefs. Rather than accept their identity as being part of who they are and move on, the individual will strenuously deny that they ever had that identity and will overtly take political stances and mobilize on issues that are consistent with what their new political identity; in order to make their new identity seem more legitimate to themselves and other people and or to help them deal with the fact they feel embarrassed and or guilty because of their former political identity. People with this often times endure a lot of fear that people will not see them as being a legitimate supporter of the new political party and or ideology they use, emotional and mental restlessness caused by their belief they have to actively work to make up for their former identity, and or intense guilt for having their previous identity.
Marvin: Why does Stacy always seem to talk about politics. I understand that she is passionate about her beliefs, but she does not need to talk about it constantly.

Janet: I think she has political denial syndrome. If I’m recalling correctly, she used to be a republican, but after having some issues related to Trump’s actions and the capital riots her beliefs shifted to strongly favoring the democrats. Because of all the things the republicans did and the fact she had backed them in the past, she may feel that she has to make up for having that identity because she may feel indirectly responsible for what happened because she voted some of the politicians responsible for it. It could also be that she could be embarrassed by her former identity and her actively discussing her views is one of the ways she deals with discomfort.
Marvin: No offense, but, in a way, it almost sounds like she could need counselor or a good friend to talk to help her deal with her discomfort and stress if that is the case.

Janet: Yes, I think your right about that.

political hypster

A person who is trendy when it comes to being a political hypocrite.
Ronny spent months on Facebook screaming, "LOCK HER UP!" Now he's totally cool with all of the people on Trump's team who use private email. His friends aren't complaining either because they're all political hypsters - It's his team this time.
