when the rain pours on on the cotswold scarp, dominic enters a cave- hoping to whet his whistle, but comes out dry. A wet dominic is when he comes out whet, and is overjoyed. the wetness comes from a type of snail called the baggus baggus, which is rich in proteins. dominc feast on the sanils, if he eerges whet they were male snails, dry, they were not snails and he was eating stones all along.
