"checks and balances" system

A form of government-operation whereby you are guaranteed "level" or "fair overall" treatment if you are generous with your "checks" to bribe local/state/federal officials, or if you are sufficiently rich (i.e., you have a large enough "balance" in da bank) that said officials feel obliged to make special allowances for you.

We may ostensibly have a "checks and balances" system, but it never seems to help out "da little guy" very much.

The den system is a system well known on Quotev.com. They’re widely hated for their toxic victim complex, predatory behaviors, and overall disrespect for the people around them. Sakura is the main one who gets slandered, however her sysmates Quackity, Cole, and Pearl get quite a bit of slander as well. The whole system is problematic White trash with mediocre looks and disgusting behavior.

Properness Etiquette System

An old, extensive series of social norms and expectations that indicate what types of behaviors and social practices are and are not acceptable in various social situations. A majority of the rules employed in the modern properness system come from medieval times and were first created in Europe. There are different rules for males and females, regarding how they are to treat each other and behave in each other’s presences; what gender an individual identifies as determines which gender type of rules they are expected to follow. Many of the rules are out of date with times and tend to be quite biased against the poor, women, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities and other species.

The properness etiquette system is in urgent need of reform in order to make it more up to date with the times, more effective, and less biased against various populations.
