Yes don't believe her, especially if her name is Stacy. If she seems to be a little too happy after her 3 day "business trip" while blubbering away nonsense when you ask her about details that might be a red flag.

Road trip boredom

A common thing people get while they are on a road trip. Usually followed by nausea, or the desire to use the bathroom. When children experience this, it is common for them to say: "are we THERE yet?!!!" Parents usually get annoyed with this after a while, and start getting stressed, which leads to some tension in the car. Which can lead to bumpy driving, which leads to nausea.
