A snake handling technique where you use a snake hook to repeatedly pull a snake in the direction opposite to where it is trying to flee while backing up until the snake is exhausted enough to pick it up by the tail.

I saw a guy try to use the danger-rope-a-dope on a black mamba, and he almost didn't die.

The word "dope" is used as way a to something is cool.

Or

People use it as a way to say weed or heroine/crack/meth.

I am not sure why anyone would use it as a way to talk about hard drugs. Because it means weed.

Stoner 1: "Wanna go smoke dope?"
Stoner 2: "Bro I am not doing meth"

Stoner 1: "What no? Weed. Why would I be referring to meth?"
