Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London. The band formed back in 1975 by the bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. Their discography has grown substantially over the years and consists of 41 albums. 17 of those are studio albums, 13 live albums, 4 EP'S and 7 compilations. Bruce Dickinson is the front man of the band who began his career just fronting in pubs, then built his career path to new high to performing around the world as the frontman of Iron Maiden.

In my opinion, Iron Maiden are the best metal band of all time due to:

1. Intelligently written songs
2. Kick-ass guitar solos throughout their songs
3. An amazing lead vocalist of the band

Iron Maiden

An extremely awesome heavy metal band from the UK. Starting in 1975, Iron Maiden quickly became very influential in the heavy metal genre, especially symphonic/power metal. Similar to other long time metal bands like Metallica and Slayer, Maiden's albums during the early to mid 1980s are usually said to be their best. Best noted for his unique voice and wide vocal range, Bruce Dickinson has been the main singer for most of the band's existence. The name Iron Maiden comes from a execution device involving spikes.
