a group of people who see things from a unique point of veiw. often outcast from society at an early age for some stupid reason kids think of in the schoolyard. these 'outcasts' usaully come together to find common ground with each other and become good frinds. they have a laugh the whole time and enjoy life more than most people. their outside look on the people who try to be popular allow them to see the pointlessness of teenage society. goths cannot be defined by what they wear and how they act around the 'popular' as looks can be decieving. most goths do not even wear gothic cloths as popularised on tv. goths understand life better than most people and are better off for being that way.

i think that people are really unfair to goths because they judge them and say well if your a goth then you must cut yourself and like black everything, thats not true!!! it is very annoying that the same people who say they never sterio type probably sterio type goths and emo all the time. goths and emo's get beaten up everyday just for being who they are and expressing themselves!

example- ME!! i dont cut myself i dont wear black all the time every single day but sometimes whe i do strangers come up to me in the street and call me a goth!

Goth origonally was a term used to describe that of architecture, clothing, music, and culture from the Gothic Era, a sub-devision of the Mideval Era.

Goth is now percieved as a labeled group of kids who dress in black, write depressive poetry, and hate the world. However, this is untrue. Goths are generally not depressive. They dress however they like, and believe that nobody is here for a reason. They believe in just living, and they see no point in popularity. Being goth is all about individuality, and you do not have to dress a certain way to be a goth. They generally listen to classical, industrial, metal, or soft rock. But that is not to say they have to listen to these forms of music.
