It is in this Public Sphere where ideas and information can be exchanged. This public debate is defined as the expression of views on matters that are of concern to the public—often, but not always, with opposing or diverging views being expressed by participants in the discussion. Sharing of ideas in the Public Sphere between individuals without the overview of authority allowed for the creation and critique of ideas without fear of traditional authority figures.
Sharing of ideas in the Public Sphere led to the American and French Revolutions, and the eventual acceptance of the concepts of "Natural Law" and the "unalienable Natural Rights of Individuals" by Governments in the Western World
