an action you commit based purely on instinct.

an example of its use is as a way out of an akward situation where you did something embarrassing.
"Did you seriously just take off your pants?"
* Awkward silence*
"Um...well it was purely instinctical!"

"You just gave me the middle finger."
"No I didn't! I mean, I did, but it was instinctical, so it didn't mean anything."
