It is provides accurate descriptions for many previously unexplained phenomena, such as black-body radiation and the stability of the orbitals of electrons in atoms. It has also given insight into the workings of many different biological systems, including smell receptors and protein structures. This is the hardest part of physics since you are able to create many advanced, high tech things.

The natural tendency during a house party for most of the party goers to congregate in the kitchen instead of the living room or some other area.
There is debate as to why this occurs- whether because of proximity to the alcohol, because it is a large open space without furniture (usually), or if there is a table then it is suitable for games like flipcup or beer pong. Whatever the reason, this occurs naturally without any conscious decision by the party goers.
