a) Someone who does NOT worship Satan, as they do not believe in anything involving Heaven/Hell/God etc.
b) Someone lacking belief in a deity (the literal definition.)
c) Someone who resents pushy Christians (not to hate on Christians, but most other religions leave us alone.) that shove religion down their throats and threaten that they'll go to eternal Hell if they don't bow down to religion.

Extreme Atheists: Are very argumentative about their views and will attack anyone who dares mention their faith.
Passive Atheists: Accept that humans are a diverse species and that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Christian: Hey, man, want to go to my church Sunday?
Extreme Atheist: Dude, eff no, that's a bunch of crap and so are you for believing it. >.<

Christian: Hey, man, want to go to my church Sunday?
Passive Atheist: No, I don't believe in God, but thanks anyway. :)

Atheism is a doctrine that states that nothing exists but natural phenomena (matter), that thought is a property or function of matter, and that death irreversibly and totally terminates individual organic units. This definition means that there are no forces, phenomena, or entities which exist outside of or apart from physical nature, or which transcend nature, or are “super” natural, nor can there be. Humankind is on its own.

The following definition of Atheism was given to the Supreme Court of the United States in the case of Murray v. Curlett, 374 U.S. 203, 83 S. Ct. 1560, 10 L.Ed.2d (MD, 1963), to remove reverential Bible reading and oral unison recitation of the Lord's Prayer in the public schools.

“Your petitioners are Atheists and they define their beliefs as follows. An Atheist loves his fellow man instead of god. An Atheist believes that heaven is something for which we should work now – here on earth for all men together to enjoy.

An Atheist believes that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction, and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue it and enjoy it.

An Atheist believes that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment.

He seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to know a god. An Atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist believes that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man.

He wants an ethical way of life. He believes that we cannot rely on a god or channel action into prayer nor hope for an end of troubles in a hereafter.

He believes that we are our brother's keepers; and are keepers of our own lives; that we are responsible persons and the job is here and the time is now.”
Atheists are often associated with those who follow Theistic Satanism, but this is not correct.

Atheism, in its broadest sense, is a lack of belief in a deity or deities. The opposite of theism, this broad definition encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism typically include only those who assert the nonexistence of gods, excluding non-believing agnostics and other non-theists. it is the burden of the believer to support his or her belief, not the other way around.

A strong believer in reality. What is there is there. And what isn't must be some good drugs or mental illness. Atheists believe that Scientific method should be used for deduction of fact. a set of false positives and true natural thought should prove that talking to air or dirt or trees on fire do not make you a prophet.

Be happy with life on this plane of exsitence. hope in more, or gifts rained down from above is greed.
Jerry Falwell: you unclean godless sinners will all go to hell!
Atheist: Ahem, No, Jerry. Your belief in hell, however strong does not make it real. If God is so great, why are all of his Christian Church leaders touching young boys? Oh Jerry, you are a Church leader, are you touching little boys?

Your belief in ghosts & goblins does not make it so. Ever notice how the words Church and crutch sound so similar? To the average exchange student they do not hear a difference when hearing English.

Either:
1) Someone who doesn't believe a god exists, but does not interfere with others' beliefs.
2)An elitist faggot who attacks other's beliefs, and saying they have a right to, but will bitch when anybody attacks theirs. Almost a scientologist. Will get extremely butthurt when you say "How did the universe begin? And unexplained explosion out of nowhere". Also are extreme grammar nazis, and newfags. Most common of these type of Atheists are 13-19 year-old pot smokers who troll 4chan.
They also like writing long unrelated paragraphs, and when you say "TLDR" they rage.
First Type of Atheist:
"How did the universe begin?"
"I'm an atheist, so I don't care."

Second Type:
"How did the universe begin?"
"Hurr durr Bing Bang theory!"
"So an unexplained explosion came out of nowhere, and made gases?"
"You believe in a magic wizard man hurr durr derp"
"And that was a rebuttle how?"
"Liek where's your proof faggot?"
"Where's yours?"
"FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU"

Someone who doesn't believe in any gods, or strongly believes that there is no such thing as a divine being or god.
I contend that we are both atheist. I just belive in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

An atheist is a person who does not believe in the existence of *ANY* god(s). This term is consistently misused in modern society.

- Refusing to worship God doesn't make one an atheist. If one says things like "well God lets this stuff happen, so I don't believe in him...," it demonstrates that one does believe in God, they just choose not to follow him.

- Many self-proclaimed "atheists" actually hate God. Since it is illogical to hate something you profess does not exist, people who hate God cannot by definition be atheists. If your attitude is "well God lets this happen, so screw Him..." then you're not an atheist.

- People who "don't believe in Jesus" aren't atheists, they're just not Christians. Jews don't believe in Jesus either, that doesn't make them atheists.

- People who say "I'll find out when I get there" aren't atheists, they're agnostics.

- People who join a "National Organization of Atheists" are not atheists; if you don't believe something exists, you don't make a society dedicated to not believing it exists. That's nonsense.
There are very few true atheists in the world. Most "atheists" are actually just people with an axe to grind with God.

One who has found that all of the religions known (including atheism) have no evidence and that the effort put into any other religion is not worth the minute posibility that it may save their soul.
I could spend 2 hours a week worshiping God, and if i did pick the 0.0001% chance that it was the right religion then i still cannot do all the self-contradicting things the Bible asks
