Another name for a beer joint or seedy bar/ drinking establishment. Most likely called a mug joint because the beer was served in a mug or you might get mugged or assaulted there. Think chicken wire on the band stage to protect them from thrown beer bottles and bouncers armed with baseball bats.
I was down at the mug joint last night and saw a girl stab a guy in the neck with a broken beer bottle .

Get the i really hate mugsmug. A mug wamper is a person who cannot make up his or her mind on which side of an argument or situation to support so they try to take both sides. They try to sit on the fence and consequently have their mug on one side of the fence and their wamper on the other.
I want the State to get the money generated from gambling but on the other hand I can't condone gambling which makes me a mug wamper since I cannot make up my mind which one to choose.
