South Side

prop. n. A renowned historic neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, located across the Monongahela River from Downtown. The location of many famous bars, restaurants, theaters, and tattoo parlors. Originally a working-class neighborhood, the South Side became up-and-coming after the major steel mills closed in the 1980s.

The South Side, being a large area, is sometimes divided into the "South Side Flats" (near the river) and the "South Side Slopes". It is not to be confused with the "South Shore", which refers to all shoreline neighborhoods south of the Mon, or the South Hills.

Bob took his new girlfriend out to the South Side for some bar-hopping.

University of South Carolina

A school in a town designed for college kids. Within a mile radius, you can make a fake ID at Kinko's, buy a bottle of everclear at Greene's, mix it with a Sonic slushy, sell your plasma for bar money, and head to Five Points. From there you can get arrested, taken to the Richland County Jail and can walk to the football stadium for the game the next day if your friends don't bail you out in time. Whoever designed this college and city knew what they were doing. And whoever came up with the mascot -- well, wherever that person is, I'm sure he's still smiling about it.

I want to go to the University of South Carolina so I can watch the gamecocks football team play on saturdays!

South Warren Girl

A girl that cares very little about her physical appearance. She doesn't bother with the hassle of getting dressed in the morning. Her out fit of choice includes a tank top underneath a T-shirt, a hoodie or fur trim on the hood of her jacket, skater shoes, slippers or flip-flops, and most importantly Sweatpants. If sweatpants are not available, booty shorts or pajama pants many be worn. A Warren girl will almost always have her hair up in a messy bun. BUT regardless of how she is dressed, she does care enough get her nails done regularly, and wears just enough eyeliner to feel content with herself. A Warren girl does have a good taste in music, and will listen to pretty much any genre but metal. Her vocabulary isn't that expanded and her grammar isn't all that well either. Most start a lot of disputes between peers. Fortunately its a necessity to know how to fight. She will stick up for friends, and she is not afraid to speak her mind. She likes to believe she is "ghetto" even if she is very far from it.

A South warren girl, the girl at school that looks as if she had just woken up everyday, even at the end of the day.
