Production office

The bricks and mortar command central nerve center while a movie is in production. Production offices are nothing fancy. Think of a political campaign office and you're in the ballpark. Think of gunmetal grey desks folding chairs laptops aplenty and numerous pa's (production assistants) going on perpetual coffee donuts and deli runs the redolent aroma of stale pizza and flop sweat hanging in the air.

Our. Production office was in a sketchy part of town but at least there was a good deli around the corner!

Someone who, unless they're an imbecile, knows from experience where their taser is and where their gun is.

He wasn't shot by the new guy on his first day of police work, he was shot by a senior officer.

Senior officer

Someone that doesn't get to where they are by mistake, or on accident.

Someone who makes a lot of mistakes or accidents on the job usually doesn't keep their job too long, so a senior officer without a history of making mistakes or doing things on accident wouldn't shoot somebody on accident either.

It doesn't seem to be any coincidence that both officers getting nailed to a cross, as some would call it, are senior officers and not newcomers.

Officer Big daddy

The kind of guy who thinks he's protecting someone from someone else with a knife by shooting them, rather than disarming them. Shooting is quicker, and there is less risk of injury to the officer involved, but it's also irreversible to the person getting shot and to their family.

There is no easy way to keep somebody who really wants to cut somebody up from doing it, but Officer Big Daddy does have more options than one, even if he doesn't like the hard ones that go with wearing a badge. If you really don't want to have to do anything physically hard at a time you least want to, there really are other jobs you won't endanger people at by making split second decisions that take a life, and assuming that it was always the right move.

Def'n #1: When an email gets passed around the office very quickly - usually when it wasn't supposed to.

Def'n #2: The speed with which the fun office rumours or gossip get passed around.

May: Whoa, that was just meant for him. Dangit, it's gone Office Viral...

Sal: Hey, did you hear who Stupid Sexy Flanders is hooking up with?
Hal: Totally, but where have you been - that went Office Viral last week.

office-ese

pronounced like other foreign languages - chinese, japanese, office-ese. pronounced - office "ease".

description - the cliche, usually trendy language spoken by corporate office / executive types to make themselves seem more intelligent / important than they are, or so busy, or just cool / "in the know" amongst their corporate world colleagues, etc.

examples of cliche words / phrases- Having said that, if you will, essentially, so to speak, others - dude, I wish I could help you, but i'm totally slammed / swamped / jammed. "Thank you / Thanks so much", although never spoken in a way that feels really sincere at all.

I wish she would stop speaking office-ese, she's so annoying.

OMG I really wish Brad would chill (stop) with the office-ese. It's totally annoying.
